Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican-born musician born into a musical family. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to classical music, old boleros as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is a lover of the operas and tangos. She also loves performing in dramatic shows. Ana began to study singing and play the piano as a child with her mother. She received more formal vocal instruction at the age of 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. The singer performed throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities as a young scholar and professional. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. The group she is in currently part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo performing classic Latin American music at private occasions. She's involved in numerous local activities, both an instructor and performer due to her passion for the arts and music. Ana was also a participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to be able communicate with other people her enthusiasm for traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can inspire younger generations to keep the tradition alive.
